The Catlab Central Laboratory, located in Viladecavalls, is organized into different areas, most of which are located in a large open space, with which they share and optimize the existing technology in the Laboratory. We have 1900 m2 of laboratory space.

The areas in which Catlab is organized are the following: Extra Analytical, Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Microbiology, Serology, Cytometry and Genetics (Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics).

Each of these areas has a responsible physician in charge, with personnel, space and equipment dedicated to that area of ​​knowledge. The analysis of all the determinations of each patient is a comprehensive process, in which traceability of the sample is available at all times; Upon arrival, the sample is registered and received in the Informatic System, to then continue with the processing, analysis, validation of the result, file of the sample and electronic delivery of the result.

In addition to the scientific areas, the central laboratory has support areas that include Administration, Customer Service, Maintenance, Quality and Information Systems.
